“the bluebird of happiness”
Remember, you cannot be both young and wise. Young people who pretend to be wise to the ways of the world are mostly just cynics. Cynicism masquerades as wisdom, but it is the farthest thing from it. Because cynics don’t learn anything. Because cynicism is a self-imposed blindness, a rejection of the world because we are afraid it will hurt us or disappoint us. Cynics always say no. But saying “yes” begins things. Saying “yes” is how things grow. Saying “yes” leads to knowledge. “Yes” is for young people. So for as long as you have the strength to, say “yes.

“The Boy Who Lived Before” - Five year old Cameron and his mother go on a search for evidence of his past life.
this is the first trillium i’ve ever seen in real life. shouldn’t seem like a really big deal but i was really really excited to find them in the forest this afternoon. suki kept leading me to cool things, and once she found these she led me to the white ones. i’ve been playing in that forest since i was a little girl and i’ve never seen these before. i’d say suki is a pretty good little guide :)
it’s kind of exciting but kind of disturbing to realize you don’t know who you are anymore and now have to reinvent or rediscover yourself. now what? no, seriously…
i’m really liking tumblr. alot. it’s so simple and beautiful. i can’t believe that it took me so long to stumble upon it.
